Seen: Sneaker Pimps LA @ Element
Despite the last-minute venue change, Sneaker Pimps LA @ Element last night offered something for almost everybody. These days it’s all about convergence. So while yes, there were kicks – displays of touring custom shoes + shoe vendors – Sneaker Pimps is really about gathering cool stuff together in one place. Video games? Yup – Street Fighter IV challenge from Capcom. Music? Oh yeah. Headlined by Public Enemy and Ghostface Killa.
And we’ve saved our favorite for last – live painting from tokidoki’s Simone Legno and Pocket Full of Monsters crew members Peekaboo Monster and 2H. We had a blast – check out the massive photo gallery after the jump – art, kicks, video games, music + more. The synergy between all the various elements was refreshing and telling. Perhaps a good direction for the future.
