Huck Gee’s Skullhuntress Life Priestess Customs
Huck Gee house of customs is about to open its doors again. Dropping this Friday are 10 Skullhuntress Life Priestess custom Munnys/Dunnys. The female counterpart and opposing force to his previously released Skullhunter High Death Priest figure struts her positive voodooness (yes, it’s in Websters -- honest) with a nice sun-shaped headdress.
While this disclaimer may go without saying – if you want one of these you need to be quick on the draw. Huck’s customs go in a flash. These drop this Friday (8.1.08) @ high noon in his Huck Gee’s store for $800 each. More shots after the jump.

After the jump, samples of work from Hombre, Dome and Biser. If you’re in Berlin, definitely check the show out.

Art-Toys by Brian McCarty
After years of creating amazing and memorable photographs of art toys, Brian McCarty’s work will be collected and celebrated in book form. Art-Toys coming from Baby Tattoo will be must a must-have when it drops in ‘09. We’re excited about this one – will be a great volume for the coffee table. It’s bound to be a great answer to people who ask “vinyl toys?”.
Baby Tattooville ‘08
The Baby Tattooville limited-edition art retreat is a novel concept created by Bob Self of Baby Tattoo Books. In a nutshell the idea is to bring together a small number of collectors (up to 50) with a group of the most in-demand artists for a relaxed private weekend featuring various art sessions and socializing. From our first-hand view, last year’s inaugural show went down quite well with a good time had by the attendees and the participating artists.
The current lineup for the 2nd annual Baby Tattoovile limited edition art retreat features seven popular artists – Glenn Barr, Dave Cooper, Bob Dob, Joe Ledbetter, Shag, Amy Sol and Michael Whelan. Up to 50 attendees (only 20 spots remain) will spend the weekend of October 3rd – 5th with the featured artists @ the incomparable Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, CA. The $2000 registration fee includes a two-night stay at the hotel, numerous artist sessions and a large number of included exclusive collector items. Last year’s attendees walked away with numerous prints including a massive ‘Art Jam’ canvas giclee, a James Jean original sketch, a couple of exclusive toys, a generous stack of books and much more. If you eat and breathe art, it’s a rare opportunity that’s well worth the cost.

Stolen Katope Painting !?!?
Here’s some very disappointing news -- one of Gargamel’s Katope paintings has apparently been stolen from their SDCC booth. If anyone has seen it please encourage the offender to return it or let Gargmael know about its whereabouts. Theft is rotten, but stealing art is really low – taking someone’s creativity away from them. On top of all this it’s a dismal greeting for Gargamel who made the trip from Japan.
Yoskay Yamamoto + Koibito
