DJ Shadow x Cut Chemist – Juke-Bot + Signing @ SDCC

dj_shadow_juke_bot

Masterful turntable wizards DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist’s first vinyl figure, the Juke-Bot, was designed by Paul Insect drawing on conceptual art from Ben Stokes.  The Juke-Bot art was featured in the promo material released following the first performance of the DJs' 'Hard Sell' set last summer at the Hollywood Bowl. In an increasingly digital era dominated by MP3's, iPod's and virtual turntables, the retro Juke-Bot is a homage to DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist's steadfast insistence on the use of vinyl '45's. Sculpted and produced by Scott Wetterschneider and Klim Kozinevich of Bigshot Toyworks, the 7.5"Juke-Bot is limited to 500 pieces.

SDCC is your chance to pick up one of these babies.  The DKE Toys booth will drop 50 pieces for $99 each on Thursday July 24th @ 1PM.  DJ Shadow will sign @ 2 PM.  A cool figure from one of the top DJ's around -- right on.  The figure is also available directly from djshadow.com and is also being sold on this summer's Hard Sell Tour.
