Buff Fest 2 – Secret 8” Reveal
Buff Fest 2 is this Sunday, July 20th @ Munky King (Noon – 2:30) and De La Barracuda (4 to 6:30 PM). With a day to go, we’re stoked to reveal the MINDstyle x De La Barracuda x Buff Monster Secret figure (above). This bad boy rocks a metallic white base (glossy) with pink spray, silver eyes and gray horns and feet.
Looks great – a must have for Buff Monster collectors. The design flows with Buff’s evolving style which incorporates pink monsters and beasts. It’s the first 8” Buff Monster with a paint scheme. Get it at the 2nd half of Buff Fest, Happy Ending, @ De La Barracuda.

Vader Project @ Star Wars Celebration Japan
The Vader Project makes its third stop as part of Star Wars Celebration Japan this weekend (7.19 – 21). Curated by DKE Toys, the traveling exhibition of life-size Darth Vader helmets (Masters Replicas) has grown with the addition of several new pieces from a new group of artists. Here’s a look at the new Vader helmets done by 13 Japanese artists – Bounty Hunter, Chino (Kumano Gollo) Devilrobots, Dehara, Gargamel, Itokin Park, Mad Barbarians, Mori Chack, RealxHead, Secret Base, T9G, Usugrow (above) and Yoko d'Holbachie. Andrew Bell’s The Giver of War @ SDCC
Here’s some great news from Andrew Bell. The Giver of War: Dead Zebra edition will be available at the Dumbrella Booth (#1335/1337). The ominous gray and red Giver of War comes with a vicious scowling F-bomb and is limited to just 100 pieces. Roughly 40 will be available @ SDCC for a retail of $90, with the remainder available shortly after directly from Andrew @ deadzebra.com. For your buying convenience, you may pay for the Giver with cash or plastic (credit cards, no used toys!).
Knowing that everyone loves previews, Andrew will display the next two Givers, Giver of Disease: Gangrene (300 pcs) and the Giver of War: Red Scare (300 pcs) @ SDCC in the DKE Toys and Dumbrella booths. We love the Giver of Disease – the little “gift” creature rules! These will not be on sale at SDCC but will hit retailers shortly after for $60 each. Finally, due to concerns over quality Andrew has indefinitely delayed the two Giver of Fire figures (Burning Desire and Freezer Burn). After the jump – more pics for your enjoyment.

Lift Presents Mad*L Citizens (10.2008)
Since there was word of the 10” DIY Mad*L we have all been anticipating a custom Mad*L show. Lift has provided the opportunity for 40 artists from all around the world to showcase their talents one that has become a very popular platform. With no official date for the show, we do know it is in the month of October. An Exclusive Mad*L will be available for this event, designed by Detroit's very own Tristan Eaton. Stay tuned for more information as it gets closer.
Marka27’s Broken Bones – Dia De Los Muertos MG2
Marka27 will introduce the sick Broken Bones – Dia De Los Muertos MG2 during SDCC @ the ToyQube booth. He will be signing MG2 posters on Friday, July 25th @ 3PM in the TQ booth. As you can see for yourself, the Broken Bones MG2 is incredible – wicked style with great details. Yes, it’ll hurt a bit to wait for the fall drop, but it’ll be worth it. Wanna see more? Buff Fest 2 (7.20.2008)
Buff Monster is back for another round of vinyl madness. Buff Fest 2 celebrating the master of pink’s newest figures goes down this Sunday, July 20th. Things start off with a little foreplay @ Munky King from Noon to 2:30 PM with the pre-release of MINDstyle’s SDCC Exclusive S2 figures. Things really get going with Happy Ending from 4 PM to 6:30 PM @ De La Barracuda for the drop of the MINDstyle x De La Barracuda x Buff Monster Secret figure. Also enjoy the free dinks, free food, lucky drawing, free condoms (it's how Buff rolls) and free stickers. Last year's event brought out the collectors and fans in droves, so get there early and enjoy.
