I met the Devilrobots crew a few years ago, and they (Kitai and Koto) are some of the coolest designers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. This time kicking down with a great interview (some video exerts should be in the next Toybreak, and a longer written interview might be showing up in a future issue of Clutter.)
Pictured is a huge Evirob vinyl dropping sometime in June in Japan should retail for 30,000 yen, about 100pcs. (the prototype pictured has a flocked body but the flocking didn’t work out for the production model.)
Also the Taipei Toyfest 08′ exclusive Tofu vinyl prototype. (pics should say it all.)
Also included is a few shots of the Devilrobot’s office, I think we all wish our work environments looked like that. If you look closely you can see Kitai mid-character design with some speed racer designs.
