Seen: Mari Inukai's Infiltration
Mari Inukai opened her Infiltration solo last night @ Corpo Nason with some of her best work yet. Her new paintings offer a nice evolution of her style -- combining her cute and quirkly characters alongside lovely ladies. While her cartoonish characters have always been engaging, they are now part of a more mature whole. Additionally, the sense of joy and playfulness now carries over from her creatures to her people. Click through for more shots. A few pieces are still available -- please check the gallery's preview page. The show continues through May 31st.
