Gag Me With a Toon, celebrating the addictive visual sugar of ’80’s cartoons, opened last night at Melt Gallery on Sunset in Hollywood. Curated by Steven Daily, the show featured pieces from a large group including Alex Pardee, Craola, Roman Dirge, Jon Schnepp (creator of Metalocalypse) and more. While the pieces feature mostly easily recognizable shows — G.I. Joe, Transformers, Strawberry Shortcake to name a few, there are some obscure ones in there to puzzle over as well.
