LA painter Natalia Fabia’s seductive yet slightly gritty art explores the lives of sultry women, ‘hookers’. Her upcoming Hooker Safari: A Glorious Pageant solo opens @ Corey Helford Gallery on Saturday November 10th, 2007 from 7 to 10 PM. The show features Natalia’s new direction through her depictions of exotic safari locales with hookers as the wildlife. Her 20 oil paintings-on-panel debut a decidely photo realistic approach compared to her previous work. She will also present several drawings, and a vine installation of chandeliers, bugs, flowers and glitter. The opening will mark the release of Natalia’s ‘Hooker Medallions’, wearable art from her hookerfeathers jewlery line.
