Vaughn Bode, a highly influential underground comic artist, drove teenagers wild with his crazy characters such as Cheech Wizard and really got things going with his voluptuous women. His son Mark Bode has designed the large Bode Broad figure from his late father’s art in conjunction with Planet 6. While things have been quiet for awhile about the release of the color production figure and a planned custom show, graff artist Insa is putting the Brode Broad back in the spotlight.
Asked by Planet 6 to customize a Bode Broad, Insa took the opportunity to transform the Broad into his adolescent object of desire — Ice T’s ex-wife Darlene as posted on his blog. Rather than just a standard custom paint job, Insa went insane with the plastic surgey in order to match Darlene’s look on Ice-T’s Power album. Specifically he resculpted the Bode Broad’s legs, crotch, eyes, breasts and arms.He then sculpted a custom shotgun, created custom bling, hand-sewed the swimsuit and then applied a sweet airbrush paint job. Amazing work. Now, we really want to know when the Bode Broad is dropping and when the custom show is going down…
