Seen: Luke Chueh — Paintings of Hope and Hopelessness

Luke Chueh presented the second set of paintings for his Paintings of Hope and Hopelessness solo at Gallery 1988 last night (9.25.07).  The ‘Hopeless Reception’ featured several excellent paintings including the Disintegration piece pictured above.   The red dots grew in number throughout the evening and the original work is now sold out.  Two prints were available at the show — Bat Bear (100 pcs) and by popular demand — Inspiration (bright ideas from the hole in my soul), 50 pieces. Both prints are still available, but Inspiration is going quickly.
