Rolito's Black Polito @ Aperolito
Rolito unveiled his secretive Black Polito figure and ?brand? at the Aperolito event on August 28th at Human Harbor in Shinjuku (Japan). Rolito's Kaiju crossover project was shown in three different colorways -- solid black, translucent gray and an off-white which may in fact be GID. The design has a large upper torso (w/bumps) vaguely resembling a light bulb and a much smaller lower section. The two sections can be separated and interchanged among editions.
There are a few pictures floating on the web including several shots from the Paradise Toys blog as well as a pic of the larger upper and smaller lower part separated on David Ishii's intheyellow.com blog. While these three versions have been shown, there are really more questions than answers. Are these the final pieces? Will see just traditional color sprays or perhaps some graphics via pad printing ? Also, what does the inner head look like up close? It's clear it has a little bump/pimple at the top but what about on the front/back, is it smooth or textured? This is a pure 'net post with info from the two mentioned Japanese blogs as well as VA and Toysrevil. More info as it surfaces.
