CRAZY 4 CULT featuring over 50 artists’ reinterpretations of cult movie favorites opens this coming Tuesday, July 17th from 7 to 11 PM @ Gallery 1988 LA. Hosted by the film-making team of Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier (Clerks, Mallrats, and more), the show lineup is loaded and includes Amanda Visell, Brandt Peters, Chris Lee, Greg "Craola" Simkins, Luke Chueh, Kathie Olivas, Misha, Nathan Ota, Plasticgod, Roland Tamayo, Stella Im Hultberg and many many more. This isn’t your parents’ art — but art based on the heroes, villains, and just plain odd characters you grew up with. So sweet.
Beyond the paintings celebrating a fine staple of pop culture, the cult film, the CRAZY 4 CULT poster created by Chris Lee will also be available at the signing as will a very special Circus Punk. Designed by Reuben Rude and limited to just 25 pieces — the Big Lebowski CP ($80) will drop at the opening.
