Sichi - Buka from adFunture

We'd heard the rumors that  adFunture was gearing up to release artist / VA reporter Sichi's first production vinyl toy.  So we're stoked to learn that Sichi's mysterious Buka character featured in his recent art exhibitions and street art  will make the jump to toys with the Beware of Fake Buka Season One minis, adFunture's first blind-boxed mini-series. 

So what, exactly, is a Buka? In Sichi's own words, "Buka is a being that is all around us, within us and about us. Buka is the power that makes us move and the energy that makes us dream. One Buka is one of many millions of Buka. Some Buka are bad, some are good. Many Buka make light work. Buka go with the crowd. Buka are easily controlled, manipulated and commanded by other Buka. Some Buka are strong, some are weak. Buka has one reason to exist... who will be the lucky Buka? Beware of fake Buka."

The signature edition figure from Beware of Fake Buka Season One will be released at Taipei Toy Fair (July 5th - 8th) along with the artist list for the series which features a total of 12 designs.   One of the artist  figures may be ready for a SDCC release.  The  series drops in August.   Look for Buka appearances in art installations this Summer in and around London.
