Seen: Cereal Killers (6.10.07)

Curated by Bill BetsOvic, the cleverly named Cereal Killers featuring art inspired by the sugary cereals we all loved as kids, opened this past Saturday  (6.9) at Monkey House Toys.  While artists were free to choose their method of expression, most opted for 2D work including top-flight customizers such as Brent Nolasco and  Doktor A.  Among the handful of customs, Leecifer’s Frankenberry Ningyo was a clear standout.

Along the side of Monkey House Toys, Edzepln, Bill BetsOvic, Shiro and Zed spent most of the opening working on a new mural with only regular wide-paintbrushes which didn’t seem to slow them down.  Hopefully someone took pics of the finished piece.    Also, artists and collectors helped Bill celebrate his 25th Bday toy style with an ice cream cake.  Overall — a great show concept with some very nice work.  If you missed it, the show runs until June 20th, so drop by Monkey House Toys and check it out.
