Seen: Dalek - Desperate, Rejected and Angry

Dalek opened his latest solo show, Desperate, Rejected and Angry at Jonathan LeVine Gallery this past Saturday (3.31).  These newest paintings  feature his beloved Space Monkeys in frenetic action fraught with danger, sharp blades and explosions of color.  Detail pops from every corner with the sense that each piece could easily stand on its own as several smaller pieces. The Friday night preview brought out Tristan Eaton, Filth, Lev (Toy Tokyo) and more to check out Dalek's work.  Props to delusionalexit2 for covering the preview and opening night for Vinyl Pulse.

Dalek just gets better and better...he's in a league of his own.

My faith in Dalek has been renewed! I wasn't liking much of his stuff in the past while, but these pieces slay.
