Seen: Thunderdog Collective Exhibtion - S.P.U.D. (12.15.06)
Thunderdog Studios and Corbis celebrated the new Thunderdog Collective initiative with an exhibition and charity auction which opened @ The Showroom NYC this past Friday, December 15th and runs through January 16th, 2007. The auction which will benefit Americans for the Arts will be anchored by a large 48" x 132" painting done by Tristan at Cannes.
The big toy news was the unveiling of the new S.P.U.D. figure designed by Tristan Eaton for Corbis. Five custom S.P.U.D.s from Thunderdog Collective members -- Dr. Revolt, Filth, Persue, and Tristan Eaton -- were available at the show. DIY and production versions are apparently in the works. The bull horns on the new figure seem to echo one of Tristan's previous cool albeit unproduced toy designs. Thanks to Vin of myplasticheart for shooting these pics of the new toy. Congratulations to Thunderdog on the new Thunderdog Collective and their recent agreement to run and manage The Showroom NYC.
