Amanda Visell - Switcheroo (1.04.07)
Featuring robots, baby eating monsters and a live Dixieland band, Amanda Visell's Switcheroo (flier) opens this coming Thursday (1.4.07) @ Gallery 1988 from 7 to 10 PM. Amanda's been working day and night on her paintings and sculptures for the show. We're happy to feature several sneaks of her wood sculptures (thanks Amanda!). These wood pieces seamlessly carry the grace and humor of her art into the 3rd dimension. Also be sure to check out Amanda's appearance on the 2nd episode of 1988's Glimpse web show. These rule! Nice work Mrs. Visell , I think you are ahead of the curb with these. This year will be all about adding handmade toys to my collection.
