The Roman Dirge x Steven Daily show featuring paintings and drawings by both artists ends its run at Meltgallery in LA with a closing reception tonight (Friday, November 3rd). We made the trip down to Meltdown to check out the show and were impressed with the variety of pieces ranging from dark and mystical to very light-hearted. In particular, Steven Daily’s colorful winter paintings run amok with monsters oozed with a cute yet subversive vibe. Be sure to click through to the full post for more pics of the show.

That one is Steven’s. I’m not familiar with Soto’s work, but Steven has been doing this shit forever.
I saw the ak @ the ice cream show like a year ago. He did a “Chainsaw” painting like this, like 5 years ago. That shit is so dope. Soto and daily were both in the bashers crew for years!

I believe that Roman Dirge is one of the best artists around. I am a huge fan of his comic Lenore and pretty much everything else he lays his unbelievably artistic hands on. He is truly gifted and I just adore him and all of his work!
