Ringo Bear by Joe Ledbetter

Updated: Corrected Brown edition size to 300 (from 210) per WWS.

The eagerly awaited Ringo Bear figures designed by Joe Ledbetter and produced by Wheaty Wheat Studios are indeed in development and are expected to drop in late spring ’07.  In an effort to make Ringo slightly easier to acquire than Mr. Bunny and Firecat, there will be five numbered editions this time around: Orange (600 pieces), Polar Bear (210), Brown (300), mystery 3D Retro exclusive (100) and mystery 5 & A Dime exclusive (60).  Quick math: 1270 total retail pieces.  While that in itself is great news,  things get even better with the news that Wheaty Wheat will also be readying other JLed products for late ’07.

  1. Any idea how much this will be selling for or how big it is? I can’t wait for this to drop.

  2. FINALLLLLLY…too bad i already flipped my jleds…
still might pick up the orange. great news.

  3. so does this mean that Joe is working with WW again?
or is Rich just going with this all on his own

  4. Love the figure,
but sounds like BS to me
If Joe does not get paid for this I doubt that Wheaty will have any more artists
    workin’ with them.
where are the Urbanites? That Kick ass TOMOTO thing?
    Ink Slinger?
    Or that Wonderful KOlivias Figure?
I think they will probably re lease more bunnies and cats as Artist

  5. this is obvious ploy. coming out right after the kidrobot ledbetter release as a way to steal thunder from kidrobot’s success at actually getting a toy to market. WW annoucing a toy not out till late spring 2007? ridiculous

  6. seems like it. WW is a place to steer clear from…heard that from way too many folks out there…..

  7. So, WW’s doing this one & Kidrobot’s doing Teeter?
Odd, but OK… I don’t care where I get them from, they both look great. 1 of each, please.
