Win a Treeson

Once in a while I come across a toy that stops me in my tracks and
catches my curiosity. At Taipei Toy Festival such a toy came "running"
by, his name is Treeson. Although, we have previously covered Treeson , I had not yet seen one in person.  At first glance, I
didn’t know what to make of it. Here is a creature standing at 5" tall  with  a stick protruding out of its chest. Not to mention a simple
smiling face surrounded by its white thorny surface. Then, I picked it
up, and was pleasantly surprised. Treeson is one solid toy. Its hard
and bumpy texture makes it comforting to touch, sort of a therapeutic
treatment. Maybe he was intended to create that soothing feeling.
Created by Bubi Au Yeung and sculptured and produced by Wookie of Crazy Label,
Treeson may be cuddly and lovable, but beyond its cutish appearance,
lies a self-discovery journey. Wanna find out more, check out Wookieweb’s
site. In the mean time, if you want one, this is your chance. You can
win a Treeson from VP. Here’s the details of the contest:

  1. makes me think of the priest in dead alive with the white furr and impalement and what not.

  2. I saw this adorable creature at Comic Con last weekend. It was one of my top favorite pieces at the convention… but alas it was only a prototype. 🙁
Maybe this was fate to find him showing up here and needing a proper home. He would find a comfy place within my dwelling if I were win (fingers tightly crossed for luck).

  3. i just bought one the other day, but it’d be nice to have one i can take out of the box and play with!!

  4. He’s cool! I’d be happy to pay the shipping to Canada if I were to be lucky enough to win.

  9. treeson’s story is so significant to my life of late. being heart broken by deaths and funerals of closed friends lately that is. i too have a stick in my heart now. a stick that resembles memories of those who had passed. a stick that is too painful to hold on.. even more painful to pull it out… how i wish treeson is for real and give me a mended broken heart too right now :/

  10. You people on something? That thing is at most, so-so. I guess it’s the herd mentality. Monkey see, monkey do.

  11. I love this sculpt so much…I am in awe of it…beautiful! Well worth any price!

  12. if this wasnt a random draw
then i’d have to say you should give it to mrstone hands down.

  13. too bad.I’m living in Istanbul.and if I win, I’ll have to pay the shipping cost which is probably much more than Treeson’s price.shame on you, Treeson!

  14. That thing looks so soothing!I can picture him standing in my zen garden exuding this calming feeling. I would love a chance to own one.

  15. An under rated figure that speaks volumes. Cute figure that is very photogenic and appears in so many amazing pictures. Keep up the good work Bubi Au Yeung.

  16. Reminds me of breadfruit. A white breadfruit with a face on it, but breadfruit nonetheless. Kinda cool.

  17. I’d love to plant a Treeson next to my Atomic Bonzai. No telling what would result from cross-pollination.

  18. Really truthfull to the grand history of designertoys.
This toy has an obvious eastern and western heritage that appeals to me and probably to many more.
I would like to see more of this designer!
It would be great if I won one because it will be very difficult to find it here in Belgium.
    Best regards,

  19. Must complete/begin my collection of toys with tree limbs sticking out of them… good luck all!

  26. it’d be perfectly contrastive to the roundings of my white ballchair with its spikey look…I swear…well, after I’ve pulled out that stinging branch from its side…poor thing *sighs and looks at her empty ballchair*
