JIP's Mc Donkey @ SDCC

Updated: Price
Whoa...  Here's Mc Donkey designed by NYC artist, JIP, for Official VIVE. This dual personality urban take on the commercial icon stands 8" tall.  The pictured SDCC version is limited to  150 pieces with 100 hand-numbered pieces available for $74.99 each at ToyQube's booth ( # 4537).  We're digging this figure.  The color scheme and two-faced design give it a sleek and creepy look and more importantly, vibe.  This makes a  nice darker counterpart to Ron English's recently released MC Supersize.

absolutely beautiful color scheme.. nice.. are they selling
to the "public" or to retailers for store display?

These will be available to the public at SDCC. I'm not sure about wholesale sales to retailers. Best to contact ToyQube directly.

Love the dark humor, 100 pieces in SDCC, will they be selling online? I want to get my hands on one of those.

Amazing. Congratulations. This is one of the only figures I will seek to buy at the con.

Kudos.

Yeah great, way to piggy-back on one of the greatest toy ideas in recent years:

Ron's MC Supersize character owns this in so many ways it's ridiculous.

I just wish Toy Tokyo would release Ron's toy to the rest of the world, rather than hoarding all of the retail sales for himself.
Then, maybe we wouldn't see so many blatant ripoffs to Ron's work. I guess it's only natural. What do they say, copying is the most sincere form of flattery... I wonder how Ron thinks of this...

I just don't see how this is a rip-off of Ron English's MC Supersize. Yes, the source material is the same. But the concept and message is definitely different.
