Pics: El Panda Release Party @ MK Melrose (6.15.06)

This past Thursday night (06.15.06) , Munky King Melrose  was swept away with Panda madness.  Muttpop released El Panda to appreciative collectors looking to pick up the Munky King Exclusive Black Bean El Panda.  Black bean exudes the toughness worthy of making him Tequila's primary nemesis.  Collectors were also tempted by RAW El Panda counterpart to the highly prized RAW Tequila.  Gobi, the artist behind both El Panda and Tequila, was in the house from France to sign for fans along side Jerry Frissen.  Gobi took the time to doodle on boxes and also spent extra effort on the blank RAW boxes putting the exclamation point on a great collectible.   Gobi's talent also extends to walls -- he created an on-the-spot El Panda mural which was the centerpiece of the signing table.  Ringing the signing table were displays of El Pandas and El Brujo Narco Satanico by Frank Kozik plus an array of original Tequila and El Panda drawings by Gobi.  Beyond the toys and art, fans swept up in the theme were able to purchase classic communist regime olive green hats complete with the iconic red star.

The turnout for the debut of El Panda kept Gobi and Jerry signing well into the night.  Props to Muttpop and Munky King for another great night of limited-edition toys and socialzing.
