Sixteen Days, a duo show featuring the original artwork of Jesse Hotchkiss and Casey O’Connell opens on Saturday April 29th from 7 to Midnight at Subject Matter Gallery in Costa Mesa, CA and runs through May 14th 2006. So if you live in South OC, drop by and check it out.
About Jesse Hotchkiss
Formerly a showcased artist at Subject Matter Gallery, Los Angeles
resident Jesse Hotchkiss once again confirms his instinctive talent for
art and illustration as overlapped by his roots in skateboarding.
Having since been established as a fine arts painter, Hotchkiss owes
his physically-evolved artistic progression to his natural ability for
play. The driving force of Hotchkiss’s multi-faceted life produces an
outcome of connection to the environment in his work, something
Hotchkiss sees as “ethereal space.”
About Casey O’Connell
Casey O’Connell, a fine arts graduate, elevated her art career when she moved to San Francisco from New York City. O’Connell shows gratitude for the subsequent details of her life. From her life in Florida and New York and now her blooming career in San Francisco, O’Connell’s stages in her artwork can be seen as the manipulation of layers in her paint or what she calls “enhanced stains.”
