The Invasion of BLObPUS

Vinyl Pulse doesn’t usually cover Kaiju toys.  But once in while I
get hit hard by a Kaiju toy and scream out "WTF… these are awesome!!!" And that was what happened when Super7 sent over pics of the upcoming BLObPUS.  They are the Hawaii colorway and the Tokyo colorway. Brian of Super7 was kind enough to educate me with the story behind the Hawaii colorway. This colorway was taken from a Hawaii color variation Metron Seijin made by Bullmark in the early 70’s, which he very kindly provided us with a picture of. These 2 editions will arrive at Super7 early February and will sell as a set for approximately $140. Later this month, we can expect more BLObPUS,
Toxic Yellow, Toxic Green and Toxic Pink, which will go for about $70
each.  Super7 is not stopping there, expect a Super7 exclusive
BLObPUS to drop in March. More details will be available in February.
Edition size is unknown, however it is believed that there won’t be more
than 50 pieces of each colorway, with some older editions running at
only 20-30 pieces. With such a limited release and such high demand, no
wonder they  often sell out quickly.  Want one?  Super7 is the place as they are the exclusive
US BLObPUS retailer.

Now, I have to admit the BLObPUS isn’t a toy for everyone. It sort
of has a memorizing trance that makes it difficult for you to
look away,  not to mention the various psychedelic colors that seem
to just suck you in, like a bloody car wreck.   As for me, I plan to pick
up one. A toy collection just isn’t complete without such a beastly
BLObPUS  monster.
