Elizabeth Ito’s Crea8tive Peeples

The second in line for the  VP100K previews is a Cre8tive Peeps custom by
Elizabeth Ito.  Elizabeth is a  local So-Cal gal who graduated from the
animation program at Cal Arts. Her wacky and and sometimes strange
illustrations have her likened to the works of Gothic painter,
Hieronymus Bosch.  In the toy world, she is most known for the
super-cute Mister Monster which was based upon a character she
developed while she was still a junior in college. She is currently
working with Disney on an animated show of her own. With such great
skills and funky imagination, I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed
and I am certain the winner of this piece won’t be either 😉

At first glance, Elizabeth’s piece resembled a plain woman. Then I
started to play with it. Turning her face in every direction and
positioning her body at different angles. This created her various
"looks". In one pose, she was dressed in a Kimono, with her arms
tucked underneath her great white sleeves. In another pose, she was a
shy, quiet minded cabaret girl, waiting for the lights to come on.
Another pose revealed her as a model posing for a glitzy outfit. Your
imagination is all you need to create the endless possibilities of
Elizabeth’s piece. Although she has no name, I think I will call her
"Qian Nien" which means "Thousand Faces" in Chinese. What will you call
her? Remember this piece  along with all the custom CPs we are
featuring this week will be up for grabs on Monday, December 26, 2005.
So, mark your calendar!!!  Up next, MAD.
