Introducing the Cactus Friends by tokidoki

Just in time for the holiday season, STRANGEco will be releasing the Cactus Friends vinyl figures created by Simone Legno for the tokidoki art label.  The candy-colored world of tokidoki oozes a quirky and compelling mix of child-like wonder and refined elegance.  As you can see below, Simone's Japanese-inspired art has flourished in the leap to 3d and  vinyl toys. We're excited to bring you the first public shots of the painted prototypes of the Cactus Friends.   These are too cute for words and yes the spines are interchangeable!  If you look closely you'll note that Sandy and Sabochan are actually slightly different sculpts rather than just a simple colorway; they even have differently  shaped cacti spines.   As is always the case, the actual toys may differ slightly from the prototypes shown here.    Vinyl Pulse will have much more about tokidoki's Cactus Friends as the toys get closer to release.
