Boo!

Touma’s latest creation named Boo has
just recently been released (June 18th). Thanks to Koto for sending these nice pics and accompanying info.  Boo will be  available
in a number of editions/colorways.   The FTC Exclusive edition from Wonderwall and FTC will be on display at the StrangeCo Booth at comic-con and be available for purchase sometime in August.  The exclusive Colette + Stitch edition will only be sold through Stitch and Colette sometime this month (July) and has crossed eyes.  The Stitch edition, sporting the same colorway  and round rather than crossed eyes, is limited to 100 pieces and was a pre-order sellout.

While the largely round shape stands out immediately, Boo reminds me as something of a happy prankster with what looks like a mask and a large toothy grin.  As with many of Touma’s recent designs, Boo has the seemingly characteristic oversized arms that serve to give his characters a cartoony and innocent feel.  I’m not quite sure what the story is with Boo’s eyes.  I had thought
they were interchangeable between the round and crossed style, but I’m
speculating that there are  actually separate versions for each
colorway.  As for the two editions shown below, I prefer the Pink/Blue Sitch edition — it’s more lively and reminds me of easter and "Miami Vice" (yah, yah, I know!).

  1. Nice looking toy.
I like the cross eyes best. Blue and pink is a nice colourway…
Why do I always prefer the tough to get ones??

  2. Awesome!
Been waiting for these to come out, love that orange colourway shame it’s sold out :(. Nice and bright!:D
Also saw a nice brown/yellow one somewhere which looked cool, probly here actually!
How big are they? also any ideas of cost on the normal colourways? Oh and where can I get them online? 😀 so many questions, so little money for vinyl…

  3. it is about 5 inches tall and is about
3380YEN which is about $33US. So far I only found them online via one-up.org. However, the website is all in Japanese and it is unclear if they still have any. Maybe we can find out from Touma at SDCC.

  4. That would be cool if you could.
I imagined them to be smaller really, touma seems to be doing only big toys now
